I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Before this, I completed my Associate’s degree in Applied Science from San Antonio College and my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Angelo State University. I am a proud National Association of Social Workers (NASW) member. Additionally, I have twelve years of experience in childcare, which has provided me with a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the critical importance of early intervention. My previous experience working with at-risk youth through the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) has equipped me with the ability to advocate for youth and provided me with tools for successful reentry back into the community. I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others, and I am dedicated to furthering my knowledge and skills in social work.
