I aim to establish warm, collaborative therapeutic relationships with my clients. I also believe it is important to communicate with children through their natural language of play. It is important to me to create a comfortable and safe environment for each client and family. I strive to empower my clients to use their own strengths and individualized capabilities to reach their goals and find balance.

I deem it important to consider individuals to be part of a family unit when working with families.

I especially concentrate on guiding clients through the journey of altering negative thoughts and replacing them with positive thoughts to achieve effective changes. My therapeutic cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, written exposure therapy and other somatic approaches.

As a therapist in San Antonio, I primarily work with individuals, older teens, and women, in overcoming obstacles that keep them from finding a balance in their life. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, anxiety, depression on adjustments, relationships, bereavement/loss, trauma, new parents, attachment/bonding, domestic violence, career/ life transitions and mindfulness. Additionally, I have experience with personality and mood disorders, school issues, anger management and coping skills.

I think it’s beneficial in the therapeutic process to remain creative with each person and family I work with.

Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi
